stuck... Entry 11
Some people say that you should find something to do with a purpose. Find a job that will help you achieve peace and help others. Well, currently I am back in a place where I was a few years ago where I didn't feel anything about the work I do. I mean, it's a great job, I get paid to train people and help, but I'm just not feeling it again. There is no inspiration. So in a sense I am stuck.
But on the other hand, being stuck here at the moment I am able to do a lot of other things at home. There is more flexibility and more opportunity to spend time with family. Which is what I want to be doing right now with the boys being young. I don't want to get stuck working and missing out on things. I only have a few more years of being able to participate with them . You know how kids are, after a while they find a new circle and go out more. Less time with Dad.
So, we'll see what happens. I'm just trying to get by.

All Stars... Entry 10
It's over a week and I have had time to sit back and reflect on one of the best experiences I have had with Javi and with the little league. The situation that we had here was that Gabriel made the Jerry Barry All Star team and Johnathan and I were selected as part of that coaching staff, which left our other Coach Manny and Javi, or should I say Coach Javi to start practicing and getting our Blue team ready. One the team we had 6 of our Red Sox kids and 8 other kids from different teams to make up the rest of the roster.
We had asked Javi to be part of the All Star coaching staff and he delivered. He was running practices, planning drills, scouting the kids to see where we could use them defensively and offensively. He set up the lineup and after about 5 practices we were ready to go.
The series was a best of 3. The first game took place on 7/5/25. They did the lineups and Javi went out to take my spot as one of the coaches. He was really happy and I was so proud when they announced his name as an All Star coach. He coached 1st base and I coached 3rd base. The game started and it was fun. We were the away team for the 1st game, we didn't score right away, but our pitching and defense was pretty good and we were able to shut them down. We won 11-0 and regrouped for the next game.
Before the series started I had told parents that we would only be playing 2 games, we were going in and out. We were going to end this quick. So we were half way there.
The next game was 7/6/25, we had our top pitcher on the bump, shut them down, scored early and even when there were questionable calls we still pulled through. We were up 8-4 in the last inning and the other team was threatening, but they hit a line drive to our first basemen and he threw to 3rd base to double up the runner and we won the game and the series.
We were supposed to get a flag to take pictures with, but the league failed to order one and just deflated the whole experience. Even with that mishap, the experience was great. I really enjoyed seeing this side of Javi, taking initiative and running the practices. Very confident and very capable of doing this for the long term. He will be a good coach, teacher or leader when he is ready.
